The Eastern
Orthodox Committee on Scouting
 [EOCS]
was created in 1960 by the Standing Conference of Orthodox Bishops
in the Americas, whose purpose is to conduct the mission of our Lord
and His Church via the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts USA
programs on a national level.

May His
Memory Be Eternal
 A
beloved friend of our has passed away. Mr. Anthony Triant
fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday July 19th. Tony was a
member of Troop 25 in New Jersey and a founding father of
the EOCS. He ran every Religious Retreat we have ever had
and was a friend and "Scoutmaster" to everyone that knew
him.
Viewing will be on Monday & Tuesday July
21&22 7PM -9PM

The Funeral will take place at St. Nicolas
Greek Orthodox Church in Wyckoff NJ on Wed, July 23rd at
10am.

Fr. Anastasios Pourakis has been
assigned as our new spiritual advisor. You might remember
"Ernie" from his days as a scout at St. Demetrios Troop 23,
or as the Youth Director for many years with St. Demetrios
Astoria... More recently he was the cubmaster of Pack 568 @
St. Paul's in Hempstead LI.
