Dearly Beloved in the Lord,

In its effort to reach out to our youth and young adults, the Orthodox Church in America has, for several decades, gladly endorsed the Boy Scouts of America as an important means of encouraging greater participation in the life of the Church and the local community.

It is my sincere prayer that all who participate in the programs offered by the Boy Scouts of America will benefit from their focus on nurturing within our young people the virtues of dedication to Church, family, and community-the very ideals upon which the Boy Scouts of America was founded.

I am pleased to endorse this worthy program and extend my blessing and the assurance of my prayers to all who participate in and support the Boy Scouts of America.
