Holy Cross Whitestone, NY

Help Bring Scouting Back to Holy Cross Whitestone!

Did you know that Holy Cross Whitestone once had a thriving Boy Scout Troop? While the original troop closed in 1992, we’re excited to announce a new opportunity to bring Scouting back — and we need your help to make it happen!

With the blessing of Fr. Nicholas and the support of the Parish Council, the Eastern Orthodox Committee on Scouting (EOCS) is working to launch a new Scouting unit right here at Holy Cross. We're looking for dedicated adults — both men and women — to step up as leaders and help build a strong foundation for our youth.

Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) is a nationally recognized program for both boys and girls in grades 1 through 12.

  • Cub Scouts: Grades 1–5

  • Scouts BSA: Grades 6–12

Local Orthodox parishes like St. Demetrios in Astoria and St. Nicholas in Flushing already run vibrant Scouting programs — and they’re ready to lend a hand in helping us get started.

Whether you're a parent interested in enrolling your child, or someone who feels called to lead and inspire the next generation — we want to hear from you!

👉 Please fill out the interest form below, and we'll be in touch with more information on how you can get involved.
